John recently led devotions for the Local Preachers' meeting.  When he got up to share his stories and prayers and to talk about how he had seen God at work in his life and the lives of others, he shone with joy.

John has been in contact with me a few times over recent months for advice about signing up for online training on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.  He never gave up and kept coming back to it, despite technological frustrations at times.  He also got quite excited when I first talked about the training and spontaneously brought out a book which he pressed into my hands.  'Read this,' he said, 'keep it, I will get another one.'

John will be much missed by his brother and sister Local Preachers in the Telford Circuit.  What an inspiration and a joy to know him.
